Maybe there's something to All Souls' Day after all.
After a day spent mostly ill-at-ease, I feel suddenly much more capable of figuring out life in the broadest terms possible - I have been pondering, evaluating, examining (and other vaguely inspection-related verbs in the continuous) all about Houston, China/Taiwan, teaching, not teaching, the thesis, and the ever-so-nebulous After.
Tomorrow I will start going through my list of Things to Do to Figure Out the Life in the Broadest Terms Possible. Which (unsurprisingly) involves a bit of coffee and a wander around Houston.
Feliz Dia de los Muertos, y'alls.
This is Jolie Holland singing "Mexico City," a track dealing with the living and the dead as well as featuring striking costumes and a most unique voice. (It kind of grows on you.)
